First implementation of SILO in China has been successfully completed.

The opimizer started its operation a 600 megawatt, coal-fired unit in the Tongchuan Power Station located in Shaanxi Province, China

SILO has been integrated with SEI, an advanced temperature measurement system, to improve optimization results and plant’s operating parameters.

The innovative approach resulted in high increase of boiler efficiency and reduction of the environmental pollution, improving, simultaneously, safety and controllability of the process.

Implementation of SILO in the Tongchuan Power Station has been described in the paper for the conference in the USA: “Study and application of combustion optimization in pulverized-coal boiler with advanced optimization software integrated with DCS and acoustic in-furnace gas temperature measurement system”, created by Xianyong Peng, Fan Yi, Yong Guo, Łukasz Śladewski, Xiong Zhang Xiaodong Zhang, Chen Cao.

Currently, the preparations to implement SILO optimizer in other Chinese power plants (e.g. Tuyou) are in progress.
